My Life - A short story
I was born and raised by two wonderful christian Parents on a large Georgia farm. I was the baby of seven children.With many health problems during that time only 2 children survived past the age of one, my sister and I. I was a daddy's girl and loved it. We worked very hard on the farm, We grew our own vegetables, raised chickens, pigs, cows and other animals.After graduating from high school, I wanted to see the world and do something different,I thought farming was dull and I thought I wanted to do more exciting things
1st mistake
I got married. I was 18 years old, very innocent and did not know what I was doing. My wonderful parents, whom was married 52 years taught me if you get married, you stay married. So I Stayed Married through MENTAL and PHYSICAL abuse...(this was another story)In 1982 while on the job working, I was involved in an accident by a HIT AND RUN DRIVER. I was only 42 years old and had 5 beautiful children.
Accident
The accident left me in- and out of a coma for the next 2 years. I was then sent home to be a vegetable the rest of my life. My family was told this by the So Called Educated Doctors.When I arrived home(with all the things that go along with a bed ridden Patience) my children were very upset seeing their mom in a hospital bed and every time I looked at one of them starring at me with their beautiful eyes, I was determined to LIVE and be a MOTHER to them. I prayed and prayed and I knew I was going to get better one day.
So my work was ahead of me, I had to learn everything again, I had to learn to do sit up, touch my nose, move my arms and do the simple things I did as a baby and small child.
I TOOK ONE DAY AT A TIME AND THANKED GOD EVERY DAY
Where I worked before the accident they furnished me with 24 hour nurses and a housekeeper that took care of the children (this was a blessing).
YES, many times I wondered why GOD had forgotten me and I wondered what was going to happen to my children and also what was going to happen to me.I was determined to keep all the children with me, we did not have much,but we had LOVE between us. I kept praying and I knew GOD would answer my prayers.
And GOD did answer my prayers, My ex-husband of 32 years left with one of my nurses. I was left to raise 5 children by myself and I DID with GOD's help.
I had to totally rely on nurses to do everything for me,I never knew how much a person could take until this happened, but I know everything happened for a purpose. I became humble, obedient, and much closer to GOD. This made me realize everything that had happened to me, there was a reason it happened. I knew GOD had other plans for me.
I KNEW GOD DID NOT LIE.
I BELIEVED WHAT THE BIBLE SAID.
:) A change in my life :)
In 1998 a wonderful gentleman (Scott) came into my life and changed it completely.On June 14, 2000 while still in the wheelchair I became Scott's wife in a small chapel with three of my children by my side.

In 2004, Scott ordered Dr. Day's tapes and asked me to watch them. I was not interested in watching them, I thought it was a waste of my time. I had been told by the doctors I would never walk again and I believed them and accepted this, I just knew I would be in a wheelchair and on drugs the rest of my life.Scott did not give up and insisted I watch them, so I gave in and watched them. While watching "Cancer does not scare me anymore" I realized what she had gone through and I became more determined to change my life. So I wanted to learn more and how I could do some of the things she did.
I went to Hallelujah Acres, Studied with them and became HEALTH MINISTERS. Scott and I then went to Michigan and went to Creative Health Institute, we became HEALTH MINISTERS there. We successfully completed both courses and now I am teaching others what I learned there and what we have learned from our own studies.
Within one year after making the changes, I lost 69 lbs and came off 32 medications(see list). I also started trying to walk, first with a walker, then a cane and now nothing. As of today, I have lost over 100 lbs. and I am only on 1 medication (for seizures) I hope to be off that medication soon.
I HAVE OVERCOME WHAT MOST PEOPLE SAY IS IMPOSSIBLE, BUT I DID IT AND SO CAN YOU....
